IKEA is a Swedish-founded multinational company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories which are practical, well designed and affordable. IKEA has been the world's largest furniture retailer since at least 2008. With each IKEA store opening, they set a goal for creating an amazing “first” experience through fun entertainment, “hoopla” and prize giveaways.

The Situation

Through a long-term relationship with an IKEA marketing exec, we were initially consulted to help open the Memphis, Tennessee location. Our charge was to create seven (7) days of “hoopla” by creating an exciting, engaging and IKEA-centric grand opening celebration through staging and event production.

The Solution (Strategy, Event Production, Experiential Activations)

It was necessary to take a multi-faceted approach to achieving several objectives for various aspects of this amazing celebration. In order to satisfy all grand opening goals, we planned and successfully executed all objectives including:

  • Creating a comfortable and fun environment for pre-opening campers;

  • Devising and executing a prize giveaway credentialing process;

  • Securing and presenting diverse entertainment inside the store to ensure festive environment

  • Creating an exhilarating, celebratory atmosphere for customers and workers inside and outside the store;

  • Facilitating the production, delivery and distribution of branded promotional items;

  • Creating a viable soundstage for live entertainment and grand opening ceremony;

  • Presenting roaming entertainment to promote festive environment and amuse customers waiting in line

The Results

As a result of our success with the IKEA Memphis opening, Nudawn subsequently opened seven additional stores throughout the U.S, including Columbus, OH; Fishers (Indianapolis), IN; Jacksonville, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Oak Creek (Milwaukee), WI; Live Oak (San Antonio), TX; and Norfolk, VA.

The Client

The RIMS Center for Enrichment & Development, LLC is a clinical treatment and rehabilitation center providing care to children, adults, and families. Their facilities include a comprehensive Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, and a Therapeutic Afterschool Program. Considered a community staple and industry leader, their primary goal is to provide quality mental healthcare services to assist clients in developing and maintaining a well-balanced life.

The Situation

RIMS Center For Enrichment and Development has been a satisfied customer of Nudawn Marketing since 2010. From the inception of our initial engagement, we have been especially pleased with the professional and dedicated commitment to the marketing and promotional needs of our organization. NuDawn has been instrumental in establishing the brand recognition for our organization. We rely solely on Nudawn for the design of promotional materials for our special events and marketing campaigns. When RIMS contracted us, they were in the midst of a major expansion from a church-based location, to a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility. While they possessed basic marketing collateral including business cards, and a company brochure, they lacked a strong web presence, and the tools to promote with a viable presence in the market. Additionally, collateral materials focused primarily on the youth component of their audience, not adequately capturing the primary targets for each of the services.

The Solution (Marketing Strategy, PR , Event Production, Website Design, Marketing Collateral Design, Brand Management)

  • Based on the determined objectives, we established “The Big Move” campaign, which included extensive client and consumer outreach via direct mail and online campaigns. In addition, we designed and produced an Open House event for existing and potential RIMS clients, featuring a State of the Organization presentation, fun engaging activities, beautiful décor, and great food.

  • We designed, developed and launched a new interactive and compelling website which, along with their amazing facility, reintroduced them to their community

  • We evaluated and refreshed content for all marketing and identity collateral components, which resulted in updated materials with a fresh new look to enhance the depth and breadth of RIMS’s service offering. Both clients and referring agents alike responded positively, and favorably.

  • We continue to provide marketing and branding services for RIMS from events, business collateral and swag design along with ongoing strategy consulting

The Client

Full Circle Dentistry is a family-oriented, modern dental practice operated by Dr. Sandra Caldwell, where comfort is the top priority. Committed to providing safe, gentle, high-quality dental care, FCD is sensitive to the needs of their patients, and it is their goal ensure the utmost comfort while providing the best care possible. For more than 30 years, Dr. Caldwell has provided complete dental services to families throughout the Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and Washington, DC communities.

The Situation

FCD engaged Nudawn for an expansion to their marketing footprint with the primary objective of growing their customer base. Their marketing materials lacked a strong, consistent brand and they sought guidance on the best methodology to reach a broader audience. FCD’s website was also in need of an update, and they had no social media presence; but understood the importance of establishing a presence.

The Solution (Brand Enhancement & Management, Social Media Management, )Marketing Collateral Design)

  • We kicked off with marketing strategy development where we determined the most effective brand image and company direction for customer outreach.

  • Based on extensive evaluation and research, we designed FCD’s first logo to establish a meaningful brand image

  • A dental web design specialty company had been previously contracted for the website redesign, however Nudawn evaluated the existing site, and guided the website redesign to ensure the new website aligned with devised marketing strategy

  • Nudawn designed FCD business cards, stationery and marketing collateral for mailer and check out distribution

  • For FCD’s social media approach, we set out to elevate the amazing reputation of the practice, and the consistent 5-star rating of Dr. Sandra Caldwell. We created social media calendars that featured weekly testimonials, illustrated breathtaking dental transformations, shared dental advice in a fun and engaging way! We engaged patients in the office to follow, and designed campaigns that incentivize new patients for and reward existing patients

Their mission is, “We treat our clients like we would want to be treated if the roles were reversed.”

The Situation

When R-PCI reached out to Nudawn, they were celebrating 25 successful years and needed a marketing strategy to ensure their successful run would continue. It was time for a new strategic direction and a brand enhancement.

The Solution (Marketing Strategy Planning, Marketing Collateral Design, Video Production)

  • We developed a strategic marketing plan that focused on setting R-PCI apart from the competition by elevating their core values and exemplary standards.

  • We refreshed their logo, modernizing and strengthening their brand which was incorporated into their newly redesigned website, and throughout all of their business collateral.

  • We redesigned the R-PCI brochure to incorporate their newly elevated brand image

  • As part of their new marketing strategy, R-PCI increased their social media presence to multiple platforms including YouTube. We produced their first promotional video, capturing the integrity upon which R-PCI stands.
