IKEA is a Swedish-founded multinational company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories which are practical, well designed and affordable. IKEA has been the world's largest furniture retailer since at least 2008. With each IKEA store opening, they set a goal for creating an amazing “first” experience through fun entertainment, “hoopla” and prize giveaways.
Through a long-term relationship with an IKEA marketing exec, we were initially consulted to help open the Memphis, Tennessee location. Our charge was to create seven (7) days of “hoopla” by creating an exciting, engaging and IKEA-centric grand opening celebration through staging and event production.
It was necessary to take a multi-faceted approach to achieving several objectives for various aspects of this amazing celebration. In order to satisfy all grand opening goals, we planned and successfully executed all objectives including:
Creating a comfortable and fun environment for pre-opening campers;
Devising and executing a prize giveaway credentialing process;
Securing and presenting diverse entertainment inside the store to ensure festive environment
Creating an exhilarating, celebratory atmosphere for customers and workers inside and outside the store;
Facilitating the production, delivery and distribution of branded promotional items;
Creating a viable soundstage for live entertainment and grand opening ceremony;
Presenting roaming entertainment to promote festive environment and amuse customers waiting in line
As a result of our success with the IKEA Memphis opening, we subsequently opened five additional stores throughout the U.S, including Columbus, OH; Fishers (Indianapolis), IN; Jacksonville, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; and Oak Creek (Milwaukee), WI!
The RIMS Center for Enrichment & Development, LLC is a clinical treatment and rehabilitation center providing care to children, adults, and families. Their facilities include a comprehensive Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, and a Therapeutic Afterschool Program. Considered a community staple and industry leader, their primary goal is to provide quality mental healthcare services to assist clients in developing and maintaining a well-balanced life.
When RIMS contracted us, they were in the midst of a major expansion from a church-based location, to a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility. While they possessed basic marketing collateral including business cards, and a company brochure, they lacked a strong web presence, and the tools to promote with a viable presence in the market. Additionally, collateral materials focused primarily on the youth component of their audience, not adequately capturing the primary targets for each of the services.
Based on the determined objectives, we established “The Big Move” campaign, which included extensive client and consumer outreach via direct mail and online campaigns. In addition, we designed and produced an Open House event for existing and potential RIMS clients, featuring a State of the Organization presentation, fun engaging activities, beautiful décor, and great food.

We evaluated and refreshed content for all marketing and identity collateral components, which resulted in updated materials with a fresh new look to enhance the depth and breadth of RIMS’s service offering. Both clients and referring agents alike responded positively, and favorably.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Caldwell has provided complete dental services to families throughout the Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and Washington, DC communities.
FCD engaged Nudawn for an expansion to their marketing footprint with the primary objective of growing their customer base. Their marketing materials lacked a strong, consistent brand and they sought guidance on the best methodology to reach a broader audience. FCD’s website was also in need of an update, and they had no social media presence; but understood the importance of establishing a presence.

We created social media calendars that featured weekly testimonials, illustrated breathtaking dental transformations, shared dental advice in a fun and engaging way! We engaged patients in the office to follow, and designed campaigns that incentivize new patients for and reward existing patients

We refreshed their logo, modernizing and strengthening their brand which was incorporated into their newly redesigned website, and throughout all of their business collateral.
